Obviously millions of people believe it is acceptable to record, listen, and be associated with it. People use that type of language daily. Just because someone uses gosh and darn doesn't make them more acceptable than someone who uses what you consider harsher language. Leave it to Beaver language isn't the norm.

It is if you have class, intellect, and a modicum of sophistication & perspective.

Jay Z has class, intellect, sophistication, and perspective and he uses this language.

Turning off any part of your potential audience is how you end up warming the bench in Pocatello, Idaho.

Keep in mind that this 19-year old kid. Just think about your decision making at that age. The kid will learn as he matures what not to do. About 97% of highlight tapes I have seen have has rap music as a soundtrack with "colorful language" and trust me, nobody is going to over look a great athlete because of lyrics in a highlight film. Most schools ask for a highlight film with no music, the ones with music are usually for YouTube and keepsake.

I didn't like the music, either, but then I remember that a man my age probably wouldn't have liked the music the 19 year old me would have picked out for his highlight reel, either.
