MyBB Louisiana-Monroe
Louisiana-Monroe comes to Bartow Arena Thursday evening with a record of 1-6. KenPom gives Louisiana-Monroe a ranking of 339. Only 8 teams are ranked lower than this. Outside of Young Harris, this will be the weakest team UAB faces all season. Prairie View A&M has a current ranking of 312, and UAB only won that home game by 6 points.

KenPom has UAB winning this game 78-57, with a 96% probability of victory.

Louisiana-Monroe is projected to finish 3-23 overall, and 2-18 in the Sun Belt.

This will be the 4th Sun Belt team for UAB to play this season.

Here is a list of La-Monroe players' heights: 6-7, 6-7, 6-7, 6-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-2, 6-2, and 6-0.

Their star player is Jayon James (6-6), who shoots free throws like Rud Rucker (10-24). Trent Mackey (6-4) is their 3-point shooter, and he is hitting them at a 45% clip.

For UAB, both Purifoy and Alihodzic are making more than 90% of their free throws.

Ironically, Jekore Tyler is listed as the only "major contributor" on UAB's team. The definition of "major contributor" is a player used in 24-28% of the possessions. However, it has been impossible for Jekore to contribute at all from the bench, where he has been permanently located the past few games. (Perhaps Haase is saving him as a secret weapon for conference games.)

RE: Louisiana-Monroe
From now until the season is over, I will use that old worn cliche, that on any given night these Blazers can win or lose. Heck even snarky, cant ague with that.
I am enjoying the ride, I see better days ahead.

Sorry. Santa Clara doesn't rank anywhere as bad as Monmouth, UT Martin or American Puerto Rico.

RE: Louisiana-Monroe
We have 20 games remaining, we are 5-6 with 4 OC games remaining, Lets say we win the remaining OC games and you know we need to, and we go into Conference play with a record of 9-6, thats more then some thought not bad when you look at the teams we played and the transitions period we are going thru.

Remaing OC games
Dec. 20, 2012 ULM/ Blazers win
Dec. 29, 2012 Northeastern Blazers win
Jan. 2, 2013 Georgia So. Blazers win
Jan. 5, 2013 at Dayton toss up/ I am going with the Blazers

Conference play starts. I see us going 10-5 in conference.

Jan. 9, 2013 at UCF toss up Blazers lose
Jan. 12, 2013 Memphis toss up Blazer wins, had to do this because a broken clock is right twice a day.
Jan. 19, 2013 at Southern Miss. Blazer lose
Jan. 23, 2013 East Carolina Blazers win
Jan. 26, 2013 at Houston Blazers win
Jan. 30, 2013 Texas-El Paso Blazers win
Feb. 2, 2013 Southern Miss. Blazers win
Feb. 6, 2013 at Tulsa Blazers wins
Feb. 9, 2013 Marshall Blazers lose
Feb. 13, 2013 at East Carolina Blazers win
Feb. 16, 2013 Rice Blazers win
Feb. 23, 2013 at Marshall Blazers lose
Feb. 27, 2013 at Tulane Blazers win
Mar. 2, 2013 SMU Blazers win
Mar. 6, 2013 UCF Blazers win
Mar. 9, 2013 at Memphis Blazers lose

19 -11 going into Conference Turn.
2-1 in Turn.
21-12. Who knows what happens.
I am on the record with PP saying we have a winning season.
