Marshall in the last few years have been taking better calculated risks with NQers. I think only 3 of DOCs NQ recruits haven't made it. I still love Bob Pruett but in his last 2 classes he had 21 NQers that didn't make the grade. I hope we never go though that again.

Also Marshall has had some great kids that were NQers: Mike Bartrum, Vinny Curry, Chris Royal, Steward Butler, Kevin Grooms, Remi Watson are just a few.

I don't think Watson was a NQ

All 3 were were along with Robert Way, Deon Medows and Craig Wikins. Robert Way is the only one that didn't make it, and left.

Sorry buddy, but you're way off. Wilkins played as a true freshman so obviously he wasn't a prop. Neither were Meadows or Way. Meadows played special teams as a true freshman and Way was redshirted, which is why he left the program.

Congrats to Marshall 04-cheers As far as Academics go ??? I could give two craps. I think with the monopoly that is the Big 5 being handed all the money and advantages in recruiting that all the other schools outside the Big 5 should give the NCAA and their local University system the middle finger when it comes to NQ or PQ. We should be able to let in any kid that can fog up a mirror and if they want to take 4yrs of PE classes then so be it. Big 5 parks kids in prep schools or JUCO's but we should leverage the one advantage over them that we could have and that is acceptance and immediate playing time without burning eligibility in JUCO. Plenty of NFL players come from non Big 5 schools and players know that. They just want to play and it is time we accept they are here for entertainment and to sell tickets and increase booster donations. Screw the Big 5
