Good Game Bulls
You guys played hard tonight and came up a little short...reminded me a lot of our first BE game when we had a subpar team by BE standards and almost beat G-town and Allen Iverson....One question though...Where were the fans? Looked like a lot of empty seats on TV....Also could hear the Let's Go Mountaineers cheer in the Sun Dome a couple times

It was a good game by the Bulls. I dont think many of our fans are thrilled by this season and probably expected to be blown out.
Hopefully our Coach can recruit and keep enough players to have a full team and give some hope for the fans

If I heard correctly after the UofL game getting updates on bulls and eers game, did the bulls outrebound WVU by 20? Maybe my ears was deceiving me, but anyways a win is a win whether is by 4 or 40. I wish we could have started off the big east play with a W.

Good news! CUSA has passed up the Patriot League and the Southern Conference in the RPI. You're now the 19th rated conference. Will CUSA stay in the top 20 for the season, do you think?

Congrats on a hard fought 1st BE game, USF. I just read that due to injuries you are down to only 6 healthy scholarship players...pretty impressive that you took a top 20 team to the wire, especially given those circumstances.

On another note, sure wish our admins could work something out so that we played you each year in b'ball! The annual baseball series is always fun and it was great to finally play football this year (well, except for the result ;-) ...maybe we can get the basketball series started up again soon. Would much rather play you guys than Nova Southeastern, etc.

There was some real talk about our programs playing this year, but it didn't work out. McCullum and Speraw have a good relationship so you never know.

hopefully next season then and if not, why not help us open our new arena to start the 2007-2008 season...would be a great draw/atmosphere. I was really hoping our on-campus football stadium would be ready this year when talks first started about it...USF @ UCF to open the stadium...that would have been fun, but I'm sure the Citrus Bowl will be rockin' just as well this Sept.

The football game should be moved to the end of the season...

UCF and USF spend too much time worrying about their attendance the week of the UF/FSU game...I say we draw the line. Have our game the same weekend and let the fans of both choose.

I don't think we'd lose anyone significant. Students will actually take some pride to say to their friends "Sorry I'm going to OUR game." We didn't lose anyone to the ACC championship game and you had to be intent on seeing UCF to skip FSU/VT for UCF/Tulsa.

So just a little rant - and then when we have that game at the end of the season, we can have the hoops game the night before like FSU/UF.

I think the game is just about right where it is. It's usually the second or third game for each team, so both teams should be at their best. It gives each program a very good warm up before starting their respective conference schedules.

IMO, putting the game at the end of the season would provide a buzz kill for the team that loses. Furthermore, if they stick the game during Thanksgiving Weekend it will dramatically hurt attendance.
