But to answer your question, I suppose my last "positive" UAB post was on Thursday:

RE: Viewing for Rutgers
I'm not saying that UAB won't win a lot of conference games.

You said that C-USA is weak. Maybe the traditional powers are weak, but Conference play isn't going to be a cakewalk.

UAB is one of only three teams in the conference right now with a losing record. 7 teams have 3 losses or less.

I'm not saying the records aren't inflated due to crappy out of conference schedules...but I AM saying that part of the reason C-USA is perceived as being weak this year is because of UAB's struggles.

Got it
Despite the losing record , UAB basketball is looking good
I am predicting UAB playing in cusa tournament semi final because the coach are making adjustment and the team playing hard
By example For This game we were able to press like any games before

It's interesting that 4 of these 5 played significant minutes together last year. I always thought Purifoy, Swing, and Williams were a good mix together. I understand it's hard at times to play Purifoy and Swing together, but I think they are a dangerous combo when on the court at the same time. I think Haase is still trying to figure out which groups play together the best. That is one of the things I think will be settled by conference play that will really help the team out.

Is Tyler going to be a factor at any point this season, or will he be sitting out every other game?

I agree with you. I wouldn't be surprised to see UAB in the C-USA finals based on coaching alone. But that doesn't mean the C-USA regular season slate is going to be a walk in the park.
