RE: Bowl Attendance To Date
Why am I not surprised that someone from ULL started this thread?...this sudden intense interest in bowl attendance?

Let's wait until they go to Mobile or Detroit and see if they still post these threads.

People at the New Mexico Bowl must have stolen FIU's ticket counting system.

Want to have greater chances at future bowls? Then care.....
I made no derogatory remarks about either game. Little surprised the NM Bowl came in that high though. I for one would like to see all SBC bowls well attended. It will benefit all of us. So, don't be surprised who starts it. Just do your part

If you guys win conference next year, we will all find out. If we are bowl eligible and do not win conference, we will have to travel. Then it will be up to us to walk the walk, no excuses.....

I think that is what he is saying however ..doubt we go to NO bowl even if we win conference! I can see the argument now..No bowl didn't even offer us the chance to play in it last 2 years..you think if we have a good season we will settle for No bowl pfft..They chose to not give us a chance which means they obviously don't care to follow the contract of conf champion playing init

Rules discussed ad nausium on this. Guess u don't read well. NO Bowl required to take champ at least 2 of 4 years. They had option this year and chose accordingly. Champ will go next year unless BCS bowl invite granted. Now if you don't want to go to NO next year, then simply get a BCS invite or don't win conference. We will be more then happy to take your place, win conference and go to NO. You must be sniffing too much of that La. Tech glue lately (called the Dumb Arrse superglue)
PS: stAte lost out in a bowl spitting distance from their stadium to a 6-6 powderpuff. You should be asking WHY?

I think we've all learned that you never turn down a bowl invite.
I'm looking at you Tech.

Date Bowl Attendance
15-Dec-12 Gildan New Mexico Bowl 24,610
15-Dec-12 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl 29,243
20-Dec-12 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl 35,442
21-Dec-12 Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl St. Petersburg 21,759
22-Dec-12 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl 48,828
22-Dec-12 Maaco Bowl Las Vegas 33,217
24-Dec-12 Sheraton Hawaii Bowl 30,024
26-Dec-12 Little Caesars Pizza Bowl 23,310
27-Dec-12 Military Bowl 17,835
27-Dec-12 Belk Bowl 48,128
27-Dec-12 Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl 55,507
28-Dec-12 AdvoCare V100 Independence Bowl 41,853
And the Russell Athletic Bowl attendance looks thin in the upper decks, so don't know their numbers.. And we actually put 48,000 + butts in the Superdome, not some of these bogus, we sold numbers..

Bowl Attendance To Date
Is there still an attendance minimum for bowls as part of the certification process? The Military Bowl looks to be in trouble if there is.

I have to wonder why the Cajuns get penalized for actually having butts in the seats. It seems the way to do it these days is to just give away a ton of tickets and then lie about how many came. I guess we are just doing it wrong.

28-Dec-12 Meineke Car Care of Texas Bowl 50,386
29-Dec-12 Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl 40,754
Despite the bogus numbers the NO Bowl still ranks 3rd to date with 20 bowls left. Have to give some credit to WKU. Really bad weather to get there, Detroit no tourist paradise, and the bowl made a decent showing. Attendance could have easily been worse than Military Bowl.
