Nah, Joe played a helluva game.
I hope most Tiger fans get to interact with DJ off the court at some point. He's as good and decent of a person as can be found....anywhere.
Last year I managed to contact him to see if he could speak to my wife's 7th grade class. She was a first year teacher and I figured a Tiger coming to her class would give her a bit of 'street cred' in a largely urban school. I figured the guy would come in for 15-20 minutes and give a quick 'stay in school, work hard' speech. NO. He brought Drew Barham with him and they stayed for over 2 hours. They went to the gym, played ball with the kids, signed well over 100 autographs, and visited several classrooms. DJ and Drew took extra time to visit with the special needs kids.
DJ should have a special place in every Tiger fan's heart.....not just because of what he does, but who he is...

Unfortunately, Joe's mistakes cross out the points he scores...His play is incredibly frustrating...He was victimized by some horrific calls, absolutely, but until he plays smarter he's going to hurt this team at crucial times...It's unfortunate and perplexing

I think he does. I don't think there is a fan out there that does not think DJ is something special.

I was with him last night for a while and he's fine but I will say he wasn't moving very fast. I think the only way he would ever be "done" from an injury, is if he literally could not walk. Then, I think he would still try to play anyway somehow. He is fearless, determined, hard-headed, driven and a young man that any parent on this planet would be honored to call their own.

Missj, I hope you tell him constantly what this group thinks of him and what he has meant to this school!! If his attitude would have been shared by some of our more heraled players the last 3 years we wouldn't be having the Josh vs ranked teams crap. I know it takes all kinds and not everyone can be like DJ but I am sure glad to say he has proven me wrong 10 times over about his ability to ever play at this level. He is truly a special player, hope he makes Memphis his home. Still hoping his effort and attitude rubs off on a couple more.
