Don't forget Toledo was without both its DE's and had to move a TE over to that position. Just bad luck with Owens, Molls, and Fluellen.
Have some good Freshmen including RB's that have been redshirted.
Could have used Jones-Moore the RB when Fluellen went down.

Maybe it's been covered in this thread but why was Owens too hurt to start the game but healthy enough to finish it? Makes no sense.

Owens got ankle injured in the NIU game by a UT OL, missed the Akron game and much of the Bowl game prep.He was still limping on the sidelines against USU.No way has he able to play a complete game. He just saw limited action.
