Good article.

I like the comment about non conference scheduling and aiming for less Wisconsin and more Kansas type teams. I really think that is the best route. I know this has been a hot topic in the past, so I'll leave it at that.

I also found it interesting that Steinbrecher stated that he would not anticipate a million dollar salary anytime soon in the MAC. I was hoping to head the other way.

A few good quotes from BC as well.

He might not anticipate a salary like that but that doesn't mean it's not going to happen. I think one of the programs will step up and try to make an impact in the next few years.

My guess is it's a "cool your jets, mega-MAC fans" statement, designed to keep people like us from thinking the MAC is suddenly going to jump up to former Big East levels of athletic spending.

I'd be happy if we spent like the Sun Belt, personally.

The MAC has always stayed true to the vision of what they want the league to be and I think they have done a good job of that. I dont sense the league will ever get ahead of itself.
