Is there any media source - even a blog or coaching search site - that offers any details about this? If I'm a sports reporter, it'd seem like a pretty juicy scoop to jump on. And WMU is a publicly funded university, obviously, so asking journalistic questions about financial wrangling and salary disputes is certainly not off-limits. If other coaches at different schools have gotten a whiff about this, then the story is "out there."
No source whatsoever...besides DB bringing it up 2-3 times in the last 4 weeks.
I said "ugly legal battle"? EA3, you keep putting words in my mouth and it isn't appreciated, at least know what you're saying for a change.

You've mentioned, in so many words, that WMU gave Cubit a "hard time" about his buyout. You've done it at least 2-3 times.
What words did I put in your mouth?

BIG LEGAL BATTLE word game man. You attributed Motowns statement to me. Man up and own your words for a change.

Oh, so Motown calls it a big legal battle...and I point out that you are the only one that has mentioned the buyout.
Not a problem...here you go.
DB NEVER STATED IT WAS A HUGE LEGAL BATTLE. HE CLEARLY STATED, MULTIPLE TIMES, THAT WMU WAS GIVING BC A HARD TIME ABOUT HIS BUYOUT
Does that work better?

How about not saying it all in the first place you big baby?!?!
Here's what I said and why, right after the firing they weren't forthcoming with the buyout and there was back and forth involved. What happened after that I don't know, but they did give him a hard time then, and that's what I said here.
How that turned into a big legal battle and I repeated it 3 or 4 times here according to you is a real leap of the truth.
Something I would expect when a company guy is trying to undermine someone who doesn't toe the line.

If lawyers weren't involved, then I stand corrected. Thought I'd seen that somewhere.
That being the case, then replace "ugly legal battle" with "hard time." And if it's true that it made waves within the coaching community, enough where it made one OC immediately dismiss interviewing here (Martin), then there was certainly some ugliness to it that went beyond just a tame misunderstanding or disagreement.
