"he is hoping to use money from the buyout to pay for upgrades to the locker rooms for Olympic sports -- especially women's teams -- and to add lights for NIU's soccer/track complex and its baseball field."

I think a press box will be built first.. there is no need for suites, when you only sell 3,000 season tickets.

Just to be clear, I am NOT for just building a ton of unsold suites. I would expect us to have 90% of the suites & club seats sold when the ground breaking happens. What ever that number is fine but I think there would be interest in these seats for season tickets since our weather is so harsh between the hot at the beginning of the season and the cold at the end.

I also think it would be smart if our skybox had expansion to the side as an option.

you get committments first then build

+1...but I am ok with 10% of the suites/club seats not being financially backed before the shovels hit the ground. Realistically we are talking about one 12-16 person suite and 20-40 club seats.

Maybe a one time experience to simply say "I did it" ?

The YC balcony is not that narrow. It is very cool to see the players come out onto the field from that vantage point. I didn't sit down while I was there for our game against Toledo. I was too amped up and drunk to be there after halftime. So my wife and I went back to the east side stands. It was nice and warm however.
