The Big 5 from a few years ago (Cincy, Louisville, Marquette, DePaul, and South Florida) minus South Florida, plus Memphis

There are NONE. They have gone on to the BCS "promised land" and will not return for less.

Poop on all the defecators. Let South Central Florida crawl to the Sun Belt. Let East Carolina drop to 1-AA and beg the Colonial for admission. memphis ans Houston would fit right in with the Southland. Tulane wanted to drop to Division III anyway. SMU knows all about the death penalty, so they can do without any sports.

Die, Big East! Die die die!

I do not think Cincy wants any part of UAB. Memphis is undecided.

Have you read their board? Memphis considers us about on par with FAU and WKU.

Beating a team 13 straight times will do that.

We only have a 5-3 record in the last 8 games. They have actually outscored us 224-223 in that 8 game span, despite losing 5 of them.

So apparently the Big East isn't really dissolving, the basketball schools are just taking their ball and going elsewhere. Meaning, I guess, there will be further raiding? I dunno.

I wouldn't say that's a fair assessment. I would say most Memphis folks would like to see you guys throw a huge middle finger to UAT and succeed. Every fanbase has its share of asshats.

We have, "99"....& we do, more than you imagine. Would love to get this BOT off our backs and have more autonomy...But we're in the strong grip of the "vise of corruption" synonymous with this state.

Part of me says let them rot. Then I get to my senses and say take them all back except ECU and UCF. Let them rot.
