One stat where NIU dominates FSU
ATS (Against the Spread).
Huskies are 9-2-2.
FSU is 4-9.
Take the points.
Look at the Huskies two losses ATS.
Army: Favored by 3, won by 1
Toledo: Favored by 10, won by 7. You're just counting beans there.
The Huskies won all the games they were supposed to, and lost the game the weren't supposed to win by only 1 point.
Meanwhile, if FSU had won all the games they were supposed to, they would be undefeated, and visiting Miami one week later than they are. No wonder FSU is so ticked off to be playing the Huskies. They would be playing Notre Dame, if they had not choked (twice).
Here's a sign to hold up at the Orange Bowl
Underdogs
vs.
Underacheivers.

RE: One stat where NIU dominates FSU
If you think people were upset about NIU getting a BCS bowl bid, can you imagine the rage from people over an ACC team and Notre Dame playing for the NC while SEC teams and Oregon sat at home?

FOOTBALL MYSTERY

But the ACC team would have earned it because they played an equally bad schedule but the name of the conference makes it ok.

I personally don't like signs that denigrate the opponent. And it's particularly hard to do with FSU, with them being ranked higher than us, and with only 2 losses, 1 of them to Florida. They may be underachieving, but it's more likely their potential was simply overestimated.

You have to figure that Triumph would cheer for the Huskies.
