It's defintiely an interesting list. UT was at their pinnacle when the BCS was created. Manning had just graduated in '97 and Tee Martin led them to the very first BCS championship. If you told sombebody in 1999 that they wouldn't go back for at least the next 13 years nobody would have probably believed you. Similar deal with Nebraska.

It's hard to imaging now, but it took Bama a full decade before they went to their first BCS bowl.

Ole Miss is traditionally with Kentucky, Vanderbilt, MSU taking turns being the worst teams in the great conference. Ole Miss tradition? Ole Miss is traditionally a place in bum Fuk Mississippi that contrary to what Oxfordians think, ole miss is not the cultural center of the world. All the states that border Mississippi have higher ranked law and medical schools than they do. So there goes the tradition for their academic myths as well. Nobody outside of water valley thinks anything about their "tradition"

IMO, A better question is what schools don't belong on that list.... Hawaii 07, a lot of schools at the bottom of the list...

How did they not deserve it? They earned it...period.

A real question is the biggest snubs...and I'm not just talking Tulane, Marshall, and BYU. There have been legit BCS teams left off...Kansas State comes to mind.
