I say we don't take our chances with three more pigdogs and put the Joe Novak statue there. Problem solved.

Based on the quality and interpretation of what a simple Husky dog should look like, here is probably what a NIU commissioned statue of Joe Novak would look like:

One of those pictures had a caption that said:

CHESSICK PRESS BOX VIEW - The Kenneth and Ellen Chessick Practice Center will include a white roof for cooling and reduction of “heat island” effect. The Chessick Center will also utilize heating equipment tied to the campus steam system.

Is that what the press box is already called, or does that mean there are plans to renovate the press box also?

Considering the kid in the background is wearing a Huskies jersey, I'm thinkin' these are real.

Maybe we're going to be the "NIU Coyotes"?

Nope...that's them. They might get some color but I would expect that is what will be installed.

LOL no this is on the CPC Facebook page.

Its likely the Bemis family house or her studio. Mrs. Bemis is the one doing the sculptures.

Though my new kitchen is awesome...still can't believe that its my house!

Totally agree. They look like rabid wolves. All they need is some saliva dripping from their mouths.

How in the hell hard can it be to find someone who can do a realistic looking Huskie? We have an art department with a stellar reputation. Certainly someone there could do it.

Those better not be the final product!

RE: New CPC pig dogs...good news
Saw pics of these a month ago when an associate athletics director posted them. I think they are just the artists clay molds or whatever. They'll probably some type of metal like the pig dog when completed. Better than the pig dog but they almost look like a platypus from the side but that may just be me being picky.
