MyBB First 10 Men's BB Games
UAB is currently 5-5.

UAB hasn't upset anybody yet with losses to Creighton, Illinois State, UNC, and Middle TN State. All four of those losses were by double digits.

The wins over Young Harris, Navy, Prairie View A&M, Troy, and USA were expected.

The only real anomaly so far has been the disappointing loss to TCU (76-73). TCU is currently 6-4, with their last two games being losses to Houston and Tulsa. TCU's best victory to date is the one over UAB. Their worst loss has been the defeat by Houston.

UAB's average margin of victory is 21 points, heavily weighted by the 46-point blowout of Young Harris. If you throw out the Young Harris game, the margin drops to around 15 points. The closest victory was 6 points over Prairie View A&M.

UAB's average margin of defeat is 14 points, with the closest one being 3 points to TCU.

Regarding the next 10 games, UAB is favored in 5 of them - La Monroe, Northeastern, Goergia Southern, East Carolina, and Houston. However, the last two could be very close games.

UAB will be the underdog at Rutgers, at Dayton, at UCF, hosting Memphis, and at Southern Miss.

UAB really needs to win the games they are favored in, and get one or two upsets in the next 10 games.

Much like CMA's first year, I suspect UAB could be playing their best ball around the end of this season.

RE: First 10 Men's BB Games
I never expected instant success in this first year, but the style of play is exciting to watch. Teams with bigger skilled front lines are going to give us hell, that's all there is to that. Let's just hope most of the shots the Blazers take go down and that their defense puts in strong work.

As for the so-called basketball fans around here, all I can say is thank goodness for "Gang Green", they are without a doubt one of the 10 best student sections for basketball in the country, if not for them, Bartow Arena would look & feel like "Lesion" Field. Absolutely no doubt where the real noise comes from in that place. They are the "heartbeat" of every men's basketball game played in The Bart!

I don't know anything about Rutgers, so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that appears to best chance at a road win of the four. I'll be disappointed if we lose that one.

Four road games are fairly even.

Here are their rankings according to you know who!

Road Games
75 Rutgers
76 Dayton
81 UCF
93 USM
209 Houston

Home Games
33 Memphis
333 La Monroe
173 Northeastern
278 Georgia Southern
130 East Carolina

UAB is currently 132.

Hilarious.

According to my subscription to KenPom.com, I'm really supposed to mention the site whenever I used their data. Oh, well.

Rutgers beat George Washington 68-65 tonight. Rutgers was favored by 9 points.

Rutgers is now 6-2 going into Sunday's home game against UAB.

Watched some of it on gameplan. Rutgers looks beatable. We can hurt them with our pressure D. We just need to make them pay on the other end. This is a very winnable road game. Might be a good chance to steal one and get one back here.

RE: First 10 Men's BB Games
They did lose their first game of the season against St. Peters at home, so I'd definitely say it is winnable. They have been involved in a lot of close games though, and outside of that St. Peters one, they've won them all. They have also not beaten a quality opponent so far this season. It's winnable, but we have been shaky away from Bartow this year.
