Who else are we missing? I'm drawing a blank...

Barsema, Yordon, Chessick, Michael Turner.
Sam Hurd.

They mentioned Turner in #9.

We dont need Hurd mentioned.

Barsema, Yordon & Chessick are not famous.

I suppose it depends on your definition of famous.

Robert Zemeckis
Not a grad, but an alum still. Saw his last film--Flight. Very good.

The original drummer for the Smashing Pumpkins, Jimmy Chamberlin, attended NIU.

Actually, the first time I ever heard of NIU was a couple of years ago while reading an article on him. I never would have imagined that we'd be playing in the OB bowl not long afterwards.

Joel Murray, Bill's brother was a Lambda Chi with my brother in the mid 80's.

He was on Mad Men, just had another film come out recently.

Andy Arlotta is the co-owner of the National Lacrosse League Minnesota Swarm. The NLL is the major league of lacrosse.

One of my NIU buddies went onto star in a number of bad made-for-TV movies on Lifetime, TNT etc. I'll spare him the embarrassment of mentioning his name.

Representative Joe Sosnowski ® representing the 69th District (wraps north, east and south of Rockford) is an NIU alum, as are a number of his staff.

What a talented acting family that bunch is. Bryan Doyle Murray plays Don Ehlert the auto dealership owner who fired Patricia Heaton's character. Bill attended Loyola I believe.

The winter 2013 edition of Northern Now has a good article:

Huskies in the Front Office - Alumni make their mark on the business side of sports

It covers Rick Cerrone, Ned Colletti, and Patrick Sandusky

6.
The five reasons for lackluster attendance figures are as follows:
Dorms and off campus housing are located too far from HS and cash starved students cannot afford the tickets.
Like College Station, PA. - There is no easy highway access for those traveling two hours to DeKalb.
There is a shortage of convenient parking adjacent to stadium .
Townies prefer spending Saturdays at Farm and Fleet.
DD & JC did little personally to stir interest in the program.

Bill Murray attended Loyola Academy (he was a senior when I was a freshman) and Regis University in Denver.

The Huskies hold up five fingers at the start of the 4th quarter to honor the five victims of the Cole Hall shooting. Some newer Huskie fans do not know that yet.
