Correction...We've got OSU on the schedule for 2014...that is until they once again get tight in the sphincter thinking about playing us and they decide to once again cancel.
Only if the game is in Cincinnati, will they attempt to cancel. If it is in Columbus, they have already gotten what they wanted.
It would be nice to actually win for a change, whether there or anywhere.

This is absolutely awesome for present and future students, and helps keep us trending positively in terms of academics. I'm amazed at how much the school has changed even since I started my undergrad back in 2005.
I saw today though that Stanford raised $1B in one year?! How is that possible?

Schools like Stanford often have single donors who contribute in the hundreds of millions of dollars. I believe they got a $100 million donation from the founder of a technology company in this recent campaign. Lots of affluent alumni. That's why they have a $17 billion endowment.

The University of Cincinnati has made tremendous strides on the academic front, gaining AAU status is not out of the realm of possibility. We should strive to get to the level of schools like Pittsburgh, Georgia Tech and Miami FL (although they are a private school, right?).

1. University of Cincinnati
The UC Campus Recreation Center is an impressive building, with over 200,000 square feet of recreation facilities. A juice bar and a convenience store are also available to students for immediate refreshing during or after a big workout. The CRC has three pools, over 21,000 pounds of weights, a climbing wall, and a suspended track. With a heavy focus on swimming and other aquatic sports, the facility is a big bonus in Ohio’s nasty winter.
University of Cincinnati has always placed a premium on impressive architecture, and the CRC is an example of this. UC’s facilities for student athletes are also impressive. The Richard Lindner building is futuristic looking and is the crown jewel of UC’s Varsity Village which includes Fifth Third Arena and Nippert Stadium. The building is wedged into a tight spot between the football stadium (Nippert) and basketball stadium and was built when UC joined the Big East conference. UC students have all the amenenities that modern students expect, but they enjoy partaking of them in world class architectural achievements, which is a big part of why Cincinnati takes our top spot.

Saw Ohio State at #5. We were definitely put at #1 for architectural reasons. OSU's center is amazing.
Ours is very good but not in that league.

UC's is unique for how it uses the space and layers the activity levels. Most people (unless they are student, faculty or staff) have never seen the entire Rec Center and all that it offers. I'm also pretty sure UC's concept predates most others making UC a trendsetters in Rec Centers.

The place is amazing. When my son visited for open house the gave us a top to bottom tour of this place. If this place was around when I was there I would have never left campus. We thought McDonalds , The Rhine Room and that bowling alley was the bomb back then .

LOL! I used to run full-court in the Armory. Often times Hughes kids would wander in for a little run.
Back then, I wouldn't even dream of what there is now

BJ. A bit off topic, but...
That avatar pic of you is very complementary, however since we last met, you do seem to have picked up some weight.

It's one of those silly mugshot pictures you see in those internet ads. That one was particularly funny, because the picture has obviously been stretched sideways. Or else people who look like Stewie Griffin really do exist...
