Patty McGee's suggestion was for Monken to take WR Coach Kasey Dunn with him from OSU (he was a USM staff member under Fedora in 2010).

This was the type of hire you should have made last year. Johnson never made sense, and always felt like an overreaction to Fedora using USM as a stepping stone and wanting to hire a guy who wouldn't leave.

I've wanted Monken at USM ever since Fedora left.

True. They played some quality teams also. I think we should see a solid staff with an offense that will fit our players better.

Glad we got a coach in place. Monken looks like the real deal & hopefullly put together a staff w/o realestate agents, pill poppers & hs coaches with delusions of grandure.

Hopefully this will right the USM ship!

Wonder if he will have AA & his mom to deal with? CC, Sunshine & Favor should do outstanding in this offense. I worry about CC being healthy though.

I don't think we'll see AA.. He's been suspended from USM following the "incident".
