Rockets have the best record as of today, at 7-1. Akron is right behind at 7-2. Someone who knows more about the women's game than I do might have an idea about what the best out-of-conference win for MAC teams is so far.

Dayton is 10-0 ranked 17th now

CMU to ND (4) 72-63
UT loss to Dayton (17) 79-76

CMU over Wisc-Green Bay
Kent over Temple
BG over Northwestern

BIG Games coming for UT:
Marquette
Charlotte
Central Michigan

BG's win was over a NW team seriously depleted by injuries per the Blade (in a poorly edited sentence that said NW was playing WITH the two injured starters rather than without-they did not show up in the box score) The two combined for 28 ppg, 13 boards and 5.5 assists. They were also number 1 and 2 in 3 point %. Picture UT without Dorch and Yolanda. Not the same team.

Eastern Michigan is hosting Michigan. Wolverines lead 43-28 with about 11 minutes left in the game.

Clearly their recent success was due to the enhanced practice time.

Western Michigan lost today to Michigan in Ann Arbor. Ohio won at Marshall. At home, Akron beat Cincinnati. Eastern Michigan won at Missouri-Kansas City.

BG beat Wyoming 79-69 today at BG. Early in the second half, Ball State trails Illinois State 47-34 at Illinois St.

Love the strategy of playing the tourneys early in the year...good evaluation to see that perhaps tourney experience was missing in the past...remember that MBB had the Blade Glass City Classic all those years when we played pretty fair hoops...right. Be interesting to see if it pays the dividends that MOB and TC must be hoping for...go Rockets.

Miami defeated Chicago State 71-37 in Chicago. Illinois State beat Ball State 71-56.

When will this women's team get votes in the top25?
When will this women's team lose? Every game on the schedule is winnable. I don't see more than 4 losses before entering the MAC tourney, where currently Akron looks like the team to beat.

One of the RPI tracking sites has:

UT 28
BG 36
CMU 42
Hampton 62
Akron 78
Chartlotte 83

So, UT has a tough stretch coming up over the next month. Getting CMU & BG back-to-back is tough. If the team can keep winning through that stretch, we will certainly be getting votes in the polls. After all, our only loss is 10-0 Dayton who is #9 in the RPI, and UT was their smallest margin of victory.

On Monday the Chippewas beat Robert Morris 96-56 in Mount Pleasant. Central is 4-4.

Akron hosts 16th ranked Dayton Tuesday at 5:30. Could be a good one.

CMU sos is 2 while Toledo is 100+
Akron will lose by 15 to Dayton
BG and CMU are going to be the games to win and will be tough especially CMU away

I thought the Akron-Dayton game might be a good one. Looks like flying dutchman had a better handle on this one than I did, underestimating the Flyers if anything. At least that how it looks with about 11 minutes left. Dayton leads 70-40.

Dayton wins 90-59.
