Top 25
For two weeks now we've had two teams in the Top 25 and I believe there's a strong chance that both can pretty much remain there all season. Wichita does face a couple of teams the next few weeks that it's not impossible to lose to in Tennessee and Southern Miss, but they probably shouldn't lose either. I haven't looked at Creighton, but I know they travel to Cal and I'd say the same thing about that game as did the two the Shox have coming up. It's possible that both will be in the Top 20/15 when they meet up and that would be great pub for both Universities and the Valley as a whole. And if UNI and ISU can win some games and the rest of the conference finishes up strong, three or four bids won't be out of the question this year. Barring a complete collapse, which we've seen in Wichita before, CU and WSU should be locked in more or less.

I'm excited to see how all of this progresses.

Can definitely see Creighton, Wichita and UNI in the top 25 at years end with some more quality OOC wins

Things have gotten more difficult for Wichita. They played like crap at Tennessee and the injury bug continues to hit them. Ehimen wasn't anywhere close to 100%, Wessel hasn't played in the past few games and it's looking like he'll end up taking a medical redshirt, and now Hall is out for at least a month with a broken thumb. Thank God we had depth, we're going to be using every bit of it for awhile.

Word is we've just lost a 4th starter due to a stress fracture... That leaves one starter fully healthy and Ehimen trying to get back...

The Shockers continue to win in spite of the injuries. I noticed the Shocks are ranked #14 in this weeks CSNbbs poll. Hopefully we can win at Evansville on Sunday and get into the coaches poll as well as solidify our position in the AP poll before we have to play Creighton on January 19.

I always liked the CSN Poll.

It is much more accurate than the coaches poll.

You got that right. It's fun to see what real basketball fans think. I just wish there were more than 13 voters in this poll. Would be more fun to see what a larger group thought. But I do respect it for the number of non-BcS schools that get votes. Shows that the voters in this poll aren't like some of the people I know in real life and can see talent outside of conference affiliation.
