next we need to start talking more hockey get some of the southerners on here up to speed!
Future hockey conference records in current conferences:
National Collegiate Conference: 69-44-15 60 win %
B1G Hockey Conference: 35-40-16 46 win %
New WCHA: 41-64-23 41 win%
Penn State is playing a very weak schedule which includes club teams. Wisconsin, Michigan, and Michigan St all have very weak teams this year. Ohio State is actually pretty good.

I'll watch hockey when they allow players to use the sticks as weapons.
Cole Field House could be brought back to life with an ice sheet and a B1G hockey team.
True, but UMD just cut sports for financial reasons. I don't see them adding hockey anytime soon.

Probably not.
But the teams dropped have nearly no advertising value to Under Armour, at least not on the collegiate level. Six teams in a B1G hockey conference is not ideal. Delaney wants more teams: Rutgers would be ideal.
Now there is talk that Maryland will bring back those programs with the extra funding expected from the Big 10.

So for Big Ten programming, what would the Big Ten encourage?
Which sport would Under Armour support?

Does a revenue producing program make more sense, or additional programs that provide no revenue?

If a Big Ten men's lacrosse league forms, any conference affiliation for a new Midwestern lacrosse team will not be attractive. That's the problem with lacrosse outside of the east coast: there is little assurance of any decent conference schedule, especially with the rapidly changing conference alignment.
In the west, four schools need to start lacrosse simultaneously and team with Denver and Air Force. SEC and Big really don't have conference options.
Doesn't Colorado college sponsor hockey?

CC sponsors men's lacrosse, but at the DIII level. In the west, there are men's lacrosse teams at the DII and DIII levels, but western DI men's lacrosse teams are limited to DU and Air Force.
CC sponsors DI men's hockey, is very well supported in Colorado Springs, and will be in the future NCHC. On the women's side, CC sponsors women's soccer and is in CUSA for that sport. CC is a DIII institution that has been grandfathered into DI for two sports.

I actually meant lax. Luckily you understood I mistyped.
