Penn State series extended...
two more years into 2018 / 19. It had nothing to do with Paterno though?

I hope so. If a long term deal materializes, then I hope the B1G will allow PSU to schedule this game with Pitt during rivalry week. If that were to occur, then Pitt no longer has to worry about a #1 rival from the ACC. I think it would be extremely tough to develop a #1 rivalry with any of the ACC teams. VT and Syracuse would come the closest, but neither will make Pitt their #1 IMHO.

The BIG10 will NEVER allow any of there teams play out of conference once conference play begins. This will be a September game. This is also one of the reasons the BIG10 was not attractive to Notre Dame.

Speaking of ND, an article in the trib quoted 'Pedie' as saying the ND contract through 2016 will be completed. That's 4 more yearly in the series, including both teams in the same year (2016). Some of you may have never see us play them in the same year. It's very exciting. We're bigger fish than some of those ACC dudes think. Think Klemp ... 03-wink.

Anyway, I've been unhappy with the ACC schedule for 2 weeks but that's all changed. We can play whoever they want to play now. Been the best week in sometime for the program. Hope it continues.

Steve P strikes again. *SIGH* Why is Pitt playing at State College? Why aren't all the games being played at Heinz. When is this guy going to be fired?!?!?!?!?!?
