UAB quarterback Austin Brown earned the All-Freshman nod after leading all league freshman passers in yards, touchdowns and efficiency. Blazers' offensive lineman Cameron Blankenship also earned recognition.

Am I the only one ticked that Burdetted got hosed?

I thought he deserved first team...near the top of NCAA in tackles per game with several great tackling performances this year.

Burdette finished his career as UAB's all-time leading tackler with 406. This season, Burdette led Conference USA with 157 tackles (a school record) and was second nationally with 13.08 tackles per game. His 24 tackles against Tulane set a school single-game record.

Damn! I just saw a "tweet" by Tyler Cantrell on that. This is total bull****!!! How in the world do you leave this guy and his body of work out? UAB = "The Rodney Dangerfield of Conference USA!"

That's completely bogus. Burdette *earned* First Team. No brainer.

Burdette earned a team by himself!!! How can you be among the nations elite & not be 1st team???? I am surprised that Reaves got it due to him being a SO but I figured he would we among the teams somewhere.
