I watched every minute of this game and I remember this play in the screen capture, it was not a first down. The Giants got beat, live with it. The RG III generation is here.
Actually yes, it WAS the play. It was one of the most horrendous spots I've ever seen. That was the play they gave him a first down on, clearly you didn't watch the game or you watched it with Redskins colored glasses on.
That play happened and it was clear as day the spot was horrendous. The frame grab shows exactly where he went out of bounds and the Skins were rewarded a first down.
It was on a 2nd and 7 play and it would have been 3rd and 2 or maybe 3rd and a long 1 but instead they just gave him the first down. It was at the very end of the third quarter.
You can clearly see it right here in the play log from espn
1st and 10 at WSH 40 (Shotgun) E.Royster up the middle to WAS 43 for 3 yards (L.Joseph; M.Boley).
2nd and 7 at WSH 43 (Shotgun) R.Griffin left end to 50 for 7 yards (M.Boley).
1st and 10 at 50 (Shotgun) R.Griffin pass short left to J.Morgan pushed ob at NYG 41 for 9 yards (P.Amukamara).
Michael Boley got credit for the force out after a "7 yard gain and a force out" but they gave him the first down.
End of Period
Look at the picture.....
That's Boley, number 59, forcing him out.
Again.....the worst spot in the history of football. I'm not making this up. There are multiple threads about that one call on the Giants website because it was so utterly horrendous.
I'm not even going to get into all the holds that ended drives that they called, the first down's negated, the 50 yard kick return called back on our final drive of the game that took us back to the 8 yard line instead of having it at midfield.
No, I'll just let that picture stand for itself. First down Redskins! Bring back the replacement refs! lol
