Karl Benson is a lying piece of %^&* (IMO). He is the main reason UTEP wanted out of the WAC. In 2004 he stated how he would like for Boise St. to remain undefeated in conference so that they could get a bowl game, just days before Boise St. was to play UTEP. Guess what? There were two of the worst officiating calls I have seen that gave Boise St. the game. He never came to El Paso or UTEP in the years prior to that game and wasn't willing to have the conference basketball tournament in El Paso, citing things like travel. The year after UTEP leaves and NMSU joins the WAC he agrees to hold the conference tournament in Las Cruces.

Middle Tennessee fans need to tone down the drama. The reason you missed out on a game is because the MAC inked a back-up deal with the Beef O Brady Bowl when common sense dictates that they should have signed a back-up deal with the SBC. Benson didn't conspire against Middle Tennessee. There just weren't enough spots available thanks to that one domino. As for next year, nobody is moving early, so enjoy the typical lame duck season.

So why did Benson stop negotiating for MT after we announced to Coosa ? Are we not an equal member who has won 8 out of the last 12 All Sports Trophies ?

Why did he lie to Massaro about other teams dealing with bowl commissions, when we were not "allowed" to do the same ?

Eff his negotiating skills and fairness.

If we would have been left out, and everything was "out in the open" with full communication, then we would not have had a problem with it.

It is not the conference schools that we are angry with -- it is solely on Benson, the lying sack of sh*t. It really isn't even about being left out of a bowl.

It was Benson's deceitfullness.

Now he has to deal with our leaving early. And probably FAU too.
