Picked ND, Bama, Stanford and KSU. My reasoning? Notre Dame is undefeated, ranked 1st and the other 3 are the Top Conference Champions.

I think and always will think that if you don't win your conference, you don't deserve a shot at the Big Taco.

that's like saying if the Bucks, Pacers or Bulls win the NBA Central Division, they should automatically be a top 4 seed.....doesn't work that way in most other scenarios

I think this year could play out perfectly... It would be Bama vs Oregon and ND vs Florida. You MIGHT have an all-SEC Championship, but it would be earned on the field. Not in the polls. I personally think you would see Oregon vs Florida in the Championship and THAT would be a great game.

And sorry, the conference championship argument is stupid. Best four teams on the field. Now, I don't think you should have 3 from any single conference unless no other conference is even close... not the case this year.

#1 ND vs. #4 Stanford
#2 Alabama vs. #3 Kansas St.

If we expand to 8? I'm using conference champs in top 16 of BCS, then wild cards after that with a limit of 2 per conference (B1G - Wisc, BE - Ville left out as champs are outside top 16 of BCS rankings, but #15 NIU squeaks in)

#1 ND - WC1/IND vs. #8 NIU - MAC
#4 Stanford - P12 vs. #5 Florida - WC2 (SEC#2)
#2 Alabama - SEC vs. #6 Oregon - WC3 (P12#2)
#3 Kansas State - B10 vs. #7 Florida St. - ACC

Go to 16 (my preference). All champs, plus 5 WCs (limit 3 per conference)

#1 ND - WC1/IND vs. #16 Utah St - WAC
#8 Oklahoma - WC5 (B12#2) vs. #9 Florida St - ACC

#4 Oregon - WC3 (P12#2) vs. #13 Boise St - MWC
#5 Kansas St - B12 vs. #12 NIU - MAC

#3 Florida - WC2 (SEC#2) vs. #14 Tulsa - CUSA
#6 Stanford - Pac12 vs. #11 Wisconsin - B10

#7 Georgia - WC4 (SEC#3) vs. #10 Louisville - BE

In a play off, conference champ has to mean something.
For some reason I thought Oregon got the pac-whatever championship, but I don't follow the Pac-whatever very close.
