Seriously, NIU obviously deserves big time reward.

Also, let's not forget that bowl game payouts don't always cover the cost of the bowl expenses.

The MAC needs to hold some of the 8M in reserve to help cover the money losing costs for participating at low payout bowls.

It might be nice to toss each bowl playing team say $250K from the conference above and beyond the bowl payout and any other conference bowl financial support.

Need to end the problem of a team going to a distant bowl and losing money...

Number one should be make sure NIU loses no money on the game... Take whatever money is needed to make sure NIU is in the black right off the top. Maybe just have the conference buy the tickets and try to resell them?

After that break they MAC payout into 14 units, give NIU three of them and everyone else one.

Amen brother..

Maybe The Mac can assign tickets to the other teams in the Mac to help in selling.. I am looking into going to the game..

If I had the time to fly there I would certainly go... even wear red and black. But the wife and kids need me at home this month.

I think the conf buying them all and give 1,500 to each school to do with what they please. Maybe the schools want to give them to employees, or sell them, or do contest for students....

Don't the other bowl schools have their own tickets to sell? The MAC should just reimburse NIU for the tickets they don't sell. Spending New Year's Eve and Day in South Beach will be no bargain, even after the airfare.

Then let the other MAC schools give them away with tickets to their own bowls (2:1 deal)... I'm just saying take an allotment give them to niu and divide the rest up *after* the MAC buys them all...
