Be careful what you wish for. A very good triple option team in your conference division can really be a PItA. The Eagles are a great FCS program with a record six championships, but personally I wouldn't relish the thought of having to face all that dive blocking and un-called illegal motion once a season.

Anyway, I watched your game on ESPN3...It was a very entertaining game. While your stadium is on the small side it still had a lot of energy and a big time feel to it for sure.

As far as your team goes the obvious comment would be about your QB.....He is the real deal, love his accuracy and arm strength. But what was most impressive to me was your overall team speed, you guys really stressed Coastal on both sides of the ball with your speed.

Good luck to you guys the rest of the way...I will be watching for sure as I love the FCS playoffs. Should be an interesting match-up this week for you guys. Do you play many triple option teams throughout the season...I hope so because that option is hard to prepare for in one week.

Thanks for the kind words. Regarding our stadium, a team of architects spent 10 hours on campus Sat. studying every aspect of our game day experience including traffic flow, tailgating, parking, etc. From listening to our AD following the game it sounds like the plan seems to be to build a 35K stadium that would be expandable to 50K. The plans should be announced this coming July.

As far as the TO, I believe it was particularly stressed in training camp with the assumption that we would have to meet one of the dinosaur offenses on the way to Frisco, TX.

So will they tear down the existing structure and start over or will they just build up and around it? Any idea?

I believe the AD mentioned all options... tearing down, remodeling, etc. All are on the table at this point.

No way we can get the existing structure to 50k and I don't think there is enough room to tear down and rebuild anything that big on that plot. I'm no engineer, and kudos if it can be pulled off, but I see no other option than build on a new site.

I agree the existing structure cannot get to 50... I think they can probably do a phased approach though. Level half the stadium and then half later. Shrug, I'm not either so I guess we'll find out in July!

It really sounded like WS is in favor of building on the current site and incorporating the Ainslie Building. I can imagine that there are more than a few interested parties who might see tearing down a four-year-old $24M structure, not to mention abandoning a brand new playing surface as a terrible waste of resources. I would have to agree with them. The key is to know how large they want the stadium to eventually become. They definitely don't want to build to 35K without room to grow to maximum desired capacity and have to start from scratch in 10-15 years. Some tough choices are going to have to be made.

Yeah... removing the Ainsley Building and playing surface would be very wasteful.

You can do the tear down method without touching the Ainslie building, just bring down the clam-shells. Lots of pros and cons with whatever method we choose.
