I appreciate the intent, BeerCat. So I changed the name of the thread and added a link to the discussion thread. It would be nice to hit the site and check the latest news real quick for what the state of news is before delving into the banter. I understand if people don't end up using it that way, however.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but how is losing UVA and GT such a big loss if they're replaced by the likes of UofL or a UC. What the hell has GT and UVA done in football or hoops in recent years?

His follow up tweets say that his source is too credible for him to not report the news. Consider me very skeptical.

I'm skeptical too but Jones is evidently a news producer at DC news station. His credibility would take a hit if he routinely spreads bad info. If he is plugged into politicians/lobbyists he could have inside info. Lots of UVA grads in DC.

If this rumor has legs and something is going down on Monday, you'll start hearing more buzz on it during the ACC championship and especially after the game.

Why in the hell would KU (Kansas I'm assuming) consider a jump to the ACC? That would make them the dumbest University in the country. You want to leave a conference like the Big 12 that is now very stable and go to a conference like the ACC that is being picked apart? I dont believe they'd consider that jump for a second.

That one makes NO sense at all.

Kansas will never go to the ACC, especially since there is a GOR already in place. 100% made up...

College of Charleston moving to the Colonial Athletic Association.

ESPN.com quotes Pac10 commish as saying it is at "optimal size" and is unlikely to expand anytime in the "foreseeable future" fwiw.

Sooner writer from the Oklahoman said on Broo's show today that Big XII not interested in UC. Only wanted them as package with UofL.

Another ESPN.com article notes that K St. coach Bill Snyder wants the Big12 to have 2 divisions and a championship game. That would require either expansion or an NCAA petition to allow it between two 5 team divisions. Snyder would support either.

Ryan McGee blog @ ESPN.com on realignment winners and losers is a good read and says that UConn's invite to the ACC is coming soon, "even if it runs off Boston College".
