? Why the hate for ESPN3? I stand a better chance of watching the game if it is on ESPN3 instead of CBSSports or Charter/Comcast.

Basically the fact that "real" TV is not even an option. Middle will definitely have to play better than we have the last 2 games. Offense needs to get back on a roll. Defense has played well as of late.

The Blue Raiders have been road warriors all season, in fact better on the road than at home. Being an underdog doesn't seem to bother them. It'll be interesting to see how they do. They are pretty banged up. Top tackler is out, others are hurt, and arkansas state has had two weeks to rest, heal up and practice.

I understand what you're saying, but the title of the thread is a bit misleading. This isn't the Sun Belt title game, the Sun Belt(with only ten football members) doesn't have one.

By all recollection, this is the first time in the 12 year history of Sun Belt football that we've had a "defacto title game" like we have on Saturday, where it's a winner take all tilt on the final weekend of the season. I had hoped it would have gotten picked up, but after reviewing the television schedules this weekend for ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU there really wasn't an available time slot until like 10pm EST which would be 9pm in Jonesboro, which IMO just isn't worth it. There just wasn't really an opportunity for this game to be televised.

I'm a little disappointed in ESPN for not finding a way to put us on Classic or even just release the rights of the game to like CSS or something, but what's done is done.

Just read an article that a 6-7 Georgia Tech team well be in a bowl eligible. You guys were mentioned as one of the schools that could be without a bowl game if you don't win. Go Blue Raiders.

Yep. 'Ole Karl Benson trying to screw us. Supposedly C-USA will try to help in the event we should slip up in Arkie.

I have full faith in our AD Chris Massaro, who is one of the best in the business.

Wow. The champ game doesn't even get on TV? You should've had it on a Tuesday night. Good Luck MTSU.

TV money pitiful to non-existent in the SBC, and we just signed an 8-year extension.

The SBC doesnt have an championship game. There are only 10 teams and no divisions. It is by pure happenstance that stAte and MTSU are playing to decide it.

As PiKapp said, this is the first time ever that the confrence title will be awarded outiright to one of the two teams. The last game of the season has had the confrence title on the line before, but it was in a Co-Champion capacity.

FAU and Troy were Co-Champions of the SBC in 2007, but since we won the head to head FAU got the NOBowl invite, while a very talented 8-4 Troy team stayed home.

The SBC only had 1 gurantee bowl game back then.

Not the title game. Just a "defacto title game". When the schedules were drawn up and ASU reigning champ was hosting MT who had one league win in 2011, I'm sure no one thought the game would mean anything.

Most MT fans knew we had issues in 2011 and that we'd bounce back in 2012, but I don't think any of us expected this.

But they knew for weeks that this was a possibility. And why not set something up with your "great" partner ESPN at the beginning of the season, if such an event happens ?

There was also a "championship" game a couple of years ago with Troy and FIU (could have been FAU) that was not televised.

Makes no difference if it was the "outright" champion or not. We all knew who the champion would be-- the winner of that contest.

I would have loved to watch it.

I'm not sure how you set it up at the beginning of the season though. I just don't think they were going to leave a time slot open in hopes that there was a compelling Sun Belt game that weekend. There's a full slate of basketball to go up against "championship Saturday". Nevermind the fact that we're playing in basically the same time slot as the SEC championship.

From a programming perspective, they probably will get more viewers on the basketball games they're running all day than they would have on our game. There will be people who have no interest in watching the SEC title game, but they probably aren't that big of football fans in the first place. I can't imagine that there are many college football fans out there who would tune into our game as an alternative to the SEC game, I mean they're out there, and obviously any fans of ASU or MT who aren't going to be at the game would be watching, but there are probably more basketball fans who would rather watch any two teams play basketball, than watch #2 Bama and #3 UGA play for the SEC title and a spot in the national championship game.

Wow...

Most CUSA fans aren't too bad, but that's a little over-the-top.

It's almost as if you want the new CUSA to fail... it would be best if we won the championship this year, considering we will be in your conference in a couple of years...

Wow...have been saying I hope Tulsa doesn't bail on CUSA. Not changing my mind, but hope this A$$Hole loses the ability to use his fingers to type on a keyboard. He's been overly negative towards MT since the announcement. Get a life and HOPE we don't meet you guys in the Liberty Bowl. GT is an academic school much like Tulsa. Ask them how our last meeting went. 04-chairshot
