Richard Hendrix, one of the top prospects in the nation, has 2,078 career points, 1,289 career rebounds, 467 blocked shots and 100 consecutive starts for Athens High School. He has nine career triple doubles in points, rebounds and blocks. He averaged 22.1 points, 13.7 rebounds and 6.1 blocked shots in 2004. He was a Parade All-American as a junior.
Hendrix has a five star rating by Scout.com, and he is ranked 4th best player nationally. Hendrix chose Bama over Auburn, Duke, Indiana, North Carolina, NC State, Oklahoa, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. It has been reported that Hendrix is considering the NBA draft. It is also well noted that his stay at Bama would be a brief one.

Yamene Coleman averaged 14 points and 12 bounds a game as a junior in 2004 and is a consensus Top 100 player on the national recruiting lists. It is well noted, that he plays without fear, and he is very long, and athletic. He chose Bama over Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

Alonzo Gee averaged 15 points, seven rebounds and three assists his junior season at Dwyer High School. Dwyer won the 2004 Class 5A state championship, led by Gee who was an All-State Tournament choice. Gee was the MVP at the 2004 Adidas Showcase national tournament. He is known for his streaky outside shooting. He can put up big numbers at times. He has a 4 star rating by scout.com, and is ranked 9th nationally as a SF. He chose Bama over Charolet, Florida, LSU, Miami (Fl) Maryland, and South Florida.

Ray George, a native of Decatur, Ga., averaged 21points and 10 assists last season for Georgia Perimeter, which made its fourth appearance at nationals last season and is currently ranked No. 15 in the nation. Street & Smith's has named George a first-team junior college preseason All-American.
JUCO Was an all-region selection and led his team to the juco national tournament.
Prep Attended Coastal Christian after spending time in high school in Georgia and at Mount Zion. Known for his scoring prowess.
George has a 4 star rating coming out of JUCO this season.

The Bama coaching staff has landed 3 of the top 150 players in the nation, rated by rivals.com. Hendrix #5, Gee #38, and Coleman just getting in at #150. A strong start, especially if Hendrix holds true to his word.
