Really????

If ECU expects to play Marshall it will be 1-1. You're a joke if you think anything other than that.

It's laughable that mwp would want 2-1s, 3-1s to play them. LOL. How soon have their egos inflated. Mwp you're headed to the new cusa, not the SEC. Ha, ha.

Some info here of note...

"The Pirates, headed to the Big East for football only, are a significant loss to the Marshall faithful, since both teams see themselves as rivals-of-sorts dating to two monumental moments in Herd football history - the last game before a 1970 tragic plane crash that took 75 lives, and an astounding 2001 GMAC Bowl.

OK, so our athletic director, Mike Hamrick, gets together with his buddy, ECU AD Terry Holland, and they create a non-conference home-and-home contract of considerable length, as the Pirates recently did over eight years (2013-20) with Virginia Tech.

That aids the Herd on the non-league side at a time when scheduling has a degree of difficulty it didn't previously. It's a quality date against an opponent in a game that moves fans of both schools to travel to road games, too.

And filling ECU into blanks on non-league schedules that already include Purdue (return game here in 2015), Ohio U., Miami (Ohio), Akron, Navy and Western Kentucky would be attractive to Herd fans."

He talks about a long term OOC series with ECU and apparently a series with Western Kentucky. I don't remember seeing anything about a series with WKU.

Also its interesting that he doesn't list Louisville's return game scheduled at the Joan for the 2014 season.

A lot of info in those few paragraphs.

It is laughable you took him serious. I barely even recall his name. Not one other poster feels the same way. Hell, I think most East Carolina fans tore him a new one.

And who is "Marshall as a whole"?

Me for one... so that's not everyone. And in all honesty, I would say 80% or more is not happy. The people who thinks this is a great conference coming up are the only ones speaking up because everyone who is against it has now just given up. To be honest, if they announced we would be returning to the Mac, I would be ecstatic. At least there would be no school in the conference who just added football. Sorry to burst your bubble, but it doesnt make me want to take a road trip to see MU play Charlotte.

I do believe the OP was speaking from a university point of view and not a fan point of view. And you're the one implied Marshall as a whole which by the way, you haven't describe in what capacity you represent Marshall?

There is a connection between us and Marshall that will always exist no matter what happens going forward. That bond can't be broken and we will be tied together forever because of it.
