RE: I wish all the schools from SWAC would move up to D1??

Get 4-6 schools from the MEAC like Delaware State, Howard, Hampton, FAMU plus Grambling, Southern, TSU and Prairie View and I could see it working. The latter two are part of a large market and PV would need to build that new stadium. Grambling would be a tough sell because there's already an FBS program in that lightly populated area (La Tech) but otherwise this national arrangement could work.
I can't see Howard, Delaware State, Texas Southern, or Hampton making that more. Delaware lacks fan support and resources, Howard has the funds but due to the fact their team has been awful for years they have no fan support. Texas Southern is a large commuter school that has long struggled with fan support and you can add Hampton to that list also. Out of the SWAC I only can see Southern, Grambling, Jackson State, Prairie View and Bama State even considering a move, which none of them are. In the MEAC I can only see FAMU, SC State, North Carolina A&T, Norfolk State, and that's about it.
The only way it would work is the following HBCU schools moving up and forming a new conference:
1. Florida A&M
2. Southern
3. Jackson State
4. Texas Southern
5. Prarie View A&M
6. North Carolina A&T
7. North Carolina Central
8. Howard
This will allow for 7 conference games, plus 3 money games and a traditional rival.
FAMU example
At Miami $$$$
At USF $$$$
Georgia State

They also like playing in a conference with fans that look like them. Tennessee State move to another conference and Florida A&M tried moving up but there was backlash from fans because of lost rivalries. Lastly, many of these schools like Southern & FAMU are located very close to powerhouse programs and they benefit when athletes can cut it in the big time.
Spot on!

There were no fights during the Bayou Classic. Please kill the internet lies.
I saw the fight with my own eyes
And you're the ONLY person that saw it during the nationally televised game huh? I was @ the game and there were no fights. It’s amazing how no media outlets or anyone saw or wrote about it, just you.
It wasn't an all out fight, it was post whistle activity that including people getting shoved and up in each others faces. Why would a media outlet write about a FCS team fighting?
But that happens in almost every rivalry game or game for that matter. You make it seem like it’s exclusively a SWAC thing. The media wrote when there was a fight up in the Ivy league( Darmouth vs Holy Cross Brawl)a few years back, they wrote about the fight between Bama State and Tuskegee back in 2001 they didn’t write about the Bayou Classic because the "fighting" you said you saw that would destroy the world was only a lil pushing and shoving which occurred twice according to you. Keep it moving while you're ahead.
