UAB to the ACC... we'll move our basketball games back to the 17,000-seat civic center where we played during the Gene Bartow years (which will now include a brand new entertainment district), Legion Field seats 63k+ so that's not an issue, and we have our new baseball stadium that will be ready for the '13 season. Not to mention our university fits the mold of the major medical and research universities already in the ACC... oh, and did I mention Birmingham's TV market has the largest weekly college football viewership in the nation to go with a total market rank of #47?

Hey, if it worked for Tulane it can work for UAB, right?

In fact, none of it was funny. Not in the least. It made a point as to the structure of the Big East, but that's all. I think the younger generation has lost a true sense of humor. Ridecule, arguement and vulgarity are not humor. Clever twists of ideas and words are funny. None of that exists in the video.

He does have a point!!

Fact is, he insults the Big East by calling them CUSA. So your conference is the insult he is using.

I don't take it as an insult anyway. The Big East is just about what C-USA used to be, and C-USA used to be a very solid league.

Say what you want about the Big East (and I probably won't totally disagree) but they've clearly decided they want to survive. Tulane was added for 2 reasons: their academic profile matches that of SMU & several non-FB schools & New Orleans (plus the Bowl that probably comes with it).

The bowl in New Orleans is a sun belt bowl.
