What a shocker. Nobody thought they were going to stay in a conference with ECU, right?

As long as we're still with our peers, I'm fine. Just don't need to be demoted.

Which will not happen, I don't believe.
I am immune to all the conference moves now after Cincy, Louisville, etc. left CUSA.
Western Kentucky would be a good add, should CUSA decide to add.
In the pecking order, MTSU would be the best option after WKU.

The local media yocals are getting what they want, they are just too stupid to realize it is happening in CUSA versus some "jump" to the Sun Belt by UAB.

Next up Southern Miss and UAB. When they finally do get the invite the Big least dissolves and we are all back to the old C-USA again. Is this Groundhog Day?

What is the buyout for Tulane and ECU? I assume it, and the other buyouts, would be spread among the remaining original members (not the new guys)?

The C-USA teams leaving for the BIG EAST makes no sense. As stated here and other places the Big East is CUSA.
The CUSA teams that are leaving for the BE are only inheriting the name BE.
Is this whats it come down to switch and bait. I dont see this working out as it appears every team from CUSA with the exception of UAB and USM are headed to the BE.
Noone in the old BE wants to stay, but everyone in the old CUSA are trying to get in.
Come on...

At this point, getting in just means not sinking, so we obviously want in! We'll go if we can.

Makes sense. Assuming UAB remains in CUSA, that's not a bad drive for UAB and a potential rival. Big TV market (Nashville is #29). Decent basketball and football.

The new Big East will eventually be the East wing of the Alliance with C-USA and the MWC. The winner of this mess will have the invite in the playoff. This is where this is headed.

In a perfect world we would end up in a basketball first league but football runs this world.
