How long has it been since we've been in the upper third of recruiting in the conference? Furthermore, two of the schools ahead of us on the list won't even be around next year. Our score of 780 is higher than three newcomers, but UTSA is not listed.

Recruiting ranking are what they are. I never put much stock in them. That said it is positive pub for a change and we need all the positive publicity we can get.

You've also got to take into account that we may have many more who've commited than the other teams at this juncture. That in & of itself is a good thing in this case to have so many commited this early. I'm like Attalla in that I don't put much stock into them as it's more of another mythical NC from someone than anything of real value. It's more of what you end up doing with those you get as many 2stars end up playing like 5 stars & vice versa.

Zero signed highly rated classes. It's just that the highly ranked recruits never made it to campus.

Well, except for Lee Jolly, Brian Smith, Otis Leverette, Darrell Hackney, Eddie Freeman and people like that.

You are right that some of the guys we signed failed to get enrolled.

Right. Those stars mean nothing to me. Currently, we have the lowest average rated player in the conference, and that means nothing to me because I have faith in our coach.

Most of those guys could not get into UAB today. Same with basketball.
