Weren't there reports that the Big Ten actually payed people $75 to fill up the stands of their championship game last year?

Someone was: http://deadspin.com/5863863/someone-is-o...nship-game

Down economy and people are saving their money to go to whatever bowl game. The SEC is filling theirs up every year because the winner usually goes to the NC.

Nebraska fans will snap up tickets on the secondary market. Wisconsin fans and curious locals, not so much.

Sig bet?

While I expect the upper bowl to be very sparse, I expect the lower level to be mostly full. I'd estimate actual attendance to be 50K.

Prices are a factor of Miami, Duke, and VT fans liquidating as well as FSU and GT fans far less enthusiastic after both laying eggs in their rivalry games.

Really Gts?

the past two years they've claimed the attendance numbers of about 72000... and the stadium was at most 3/4's-full for most of those from what I recall seeing on TV.

I expect some number inflation, but the ACC has been HORRENDOUSLY over-inflating their numbers (in my opinion).

I was there last year. It was a full house. I have the video to prove it. Next theory?
