I'm not so sure. They have a brand new arena and will be pumped to host a struggling UAB team.

Troy has beaten a bad Miss State team by 3 at home and a bad SEMO team by 3 at home. They lost by 24 to a good La Tech team at home

That prediction sucked. I had no idea we would lay such an egg.

I knew it did as soon as you made it. I didn't think we would lose, but I knew we we wouldn't blow them out.

We appear to have too many Elijah Milsaps on the team & not enough Mo Finleys.

Meaning we can drive to the basket, but cannot hit an outside shot for squat.

Well, KenPom4UAB has not been updated for today's loss to TCU yet. The old data showed UAB with a 65% chance of winning at Troy, with a score of 67-63. That probability will likely be lowered after losing to TCU, who we had a 67% chance of beating.

You can never have enough of either. That said, we don't have enough of either.

I am still going to Troy. We should have beaten TCU. We forgot how to shoot free throws and keep turning the ball over too much. We shot the ball poorly again as well. I still say it will take most of the season for our guys to get comfortable in this system.

Oh, I'm still going to the Troy game as well. I'm also bringing two with me. I really want to see their new arena.

RE: TCU
STILL going to Troy? Why is this even a question?

We have lost games before. We will lose them again. But not on Tuesday. On Tuesday, we sack Troy amid the lamentations of their women, sheep and that deeply disturbing masturbating mascot.

We actually shot well. 50%. Turnovers weren't as bad as they were yesterday, and for the most part, we played our pace.

Our problem was free throw shooting, and poor bench play. 5-14 from the bench.
Our most experienced player, Purifoy has disappeared. He is not adapting to his new role. I would suggest that he should move back to a starting role, but I wouldn't know who to replace him with. We can't lose Williams defense and his hustle has increased his offense. Purifoy just needs to get with it. Taylor too.

In terms of efficiency, outside of ASW, our two most experienced players are our least efficient.

RE: TCU
Why is it that in all three of our losses one player absolutely goes nuckin futs. Guys go off for 30 and 35 this weekend on us, respectively.

I actually think playing the zone for so long in the first half actually screwed us.

RE: TCU
We're trying to protect/defend down low. When teams play that game, inside-outside, the outside guy has open shots. We had been doing this by allowing the PG to be the outside guy passing in since the PG is often the worst outside shooter on the team. Last game Illinois State switched PGs to the backup who is a better shooter and killed us. The TCU PG just hit the shots and when we guarded him close he drove the ball. Its pick your poison, let the big guy play one-on-one against our smaller post guys or give up the open jumper as we back down to guard the post.
