But, that's not system basketball, and BT's a system guy. Plus, his system is really complicated ... And I think he's outsmarting himself with this bunch. They look confused and lost when they need to "run their stuff." They don't understand "their stuff." And he has himself to blame, because there are not enough good veteran kids who get what he is trying to do. I hope he dumbs down his system, and lets his young athletes start playing a little more unconstrained.

Fair assessment, but I will clarify that his defensive system is complicated. The offensive system, not so much. We just don't have the players for it.

When you don't have a great "team" you need to just say eff it and put the ball in your best player's hands. Not going to compare Batten with Baze, but BT let Baze whatever be damn felt wanted last year. He needs to do the same with Batten. Let the kid shoot 20 times a game. At this point it can't be any worse than what I'm watching now. #ilovedefense

Offensive system:

1. Casually walk the ball up the court

2. Pass the ball back and forth on the perimeter while guards stand still not ready to shoot.

3. Throw the ball into the post no matter who is there to catch it

4. Rebound and repeat.

Will some teach this team how to reverse the ball to enter into the post? A lot of fundamental breakdowns out there.
