After seeing only 2 games, seems to me if the Trojans are to have a good or maybe very good season, James White has to make a big contribution. He has game at both ends of the court and he will have to be guarded, leaving space for Will. Just my 2 cents worth. Has anyone heard an up-date on Leeper?

RE: The Key
It is still early in the season, but White seems to be further along than I anticipated. After 4 games, he is averaging 10 pts, which has him tied for 2nd with Will. He leads the team with FG% (50%), rebounds (6.3), ATO (2.3), and blocks (6 blocks) and he is doing this averaging 24 minutes a game. The stats show that he is an all around player. He has the attributes to be a for sure double double player with chances of getting a triple double on occasions throughout his career if he remains healthy, humbled, and focused.

Watch the post-game video after Milwaukee. Steve says something about it there. A little hard to hear on my laptop.

I think BTH said he would be out around four weeks from the La Tech game. Don't know if that's changed or not.

He told me last night (if I heard him right over the crowd) that he starts rehab next week.

Sad that Gus has had such bad luck. Let's hope he can continue his career and stay healthy once he rehabs. Really a great young man.

I am telling you, Alum, you nailed this one right on the head. He is an amazing talent. Unlimited upside for this young man. You should have seen the block he made late in the game. Game out of nowhere to sour WAY up in the air and swat a 3-point attempt into the stands. Shades of Dr. J. (the original, I mean - no offense, Doc.)

The only thing I ever swatted out of the air was a few flies and mosquitos. James was like Superman. I don't know how far he flew to get to that ball, but it was amazing. Alum was absolutely correct in his original assessment when James was in high school. That redshirt year really helped him.

I'm sure he will have plenty more with his long arms and jumping ability.
