Exclamation Champlin: McGee, UAB looking to get back on right track after tough loss
http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2012/..._to_g.html

"I know what happened. We had two games (wins) under our belt. This was going to be the third conference game that we won in a row. We felt like the process was kicking in and that we were fixing to take the next step."

UAB didn't, as McGee didn't have kind words for any of the three phases in the loss. He also said the intensity and focus was going up as UAB moves forward, and it was going to stay up. That advice was given to McGee, he said, after he talked to people in the business that he trusted in the hours following the loss.

"That'll never happen to me again in my career," he said. "You don't back off when things are going good. You turn it up more, and that's a mistake I made."
