Hell if that is the case then the ACC needs a win more then we do, they haven't won a BCS Game since 1999.

Dude that was a eon ago I don't even post on that board anymore.
But that isn't the point. You guys get tired of CUSA people talking about the BE.
So why even started a thread about the ACC/BE issues that don't concern CUSA on the CUSA Main Board. No one on the CUSA was talking about this.
Point is whether of not CUSA posters have a problem with an 8-4 FSU getting a BCS slot is irrelevant. CUSA is not a BCS conference so why does it matter to you guys what we think?
Maize, I am so over the BE retaining it BCS status. What's done is done. I do reserve the right to talk about my disagreements about that subject on the CUSA board if it's brought up.
You know what you were doing by posting that thread. You also remember when you yourself jokingly said "Since when you have known UL posters to have class?" You were joking right?

When you say it like that you'd think WVU was the 4 loss unranked BCS team.

Just wanted to see what the C-USAers thought and I was not surprised.
But I am enjoying the fact that the ACC Champ is a 4 loss team for the 2nd time in 4 years.

But like many on this board has said, what CUSA people think about BCS issues is irrelevant because for all intent purposes, we're not part of it.
I got no problems with you Maize but if you wanted to know what CUSA people thought about it you could have worded your thread differently. You wanted a reaction and you got it.
Go CUSA!

I am of the opinion that the 8-4 FSU team that will represent the acc is not as bad as the 8-3 Pitt team last year. As much as we probably dont want to hear this from a BE homer like myself, its true. Sure FSU does not deserve to be representing the acc in the BCS, just like Pitt really did not deserve to represent the BE last year.
But the acc can point to the fact that they have 2 other top 10 bcs teams in Miami and VT that actually should represent the acc, and FSU beat both of them. The BE had no such teams to point to last year, even though I thought that WV or BC would have been a better representative for the BE last year. The acc is a better, more respected fb league than the BE, so you should have expected folks to defend the acc. That is the reason that you will see very little bashing, if any of FSU representing the acc.
With that said, i think that Georgia Tech Swagger needs to tone down his georgia tech fettish. He acts as though GT is some college football jaugernaut on the line of Miami or VT. Fact is they are very similar to Uconn and Pitt in the BE.
And it is foolish to think that FSU would have gone undefeated in the BE this season. I am sure that they would have suffered a minnimum of 2 losses in the BE.

I have no problem with FSU in the BCS. They did what no other ACC school was able to do: get to the conference title game, and win it. Are they the best team in the ACC? No. Are they one of the best 8 teams in the country? No. But they did what they had to do to get in the BCS game, and they are there. The best team does not always win the NCAA tournament, and this is the same thing.
That being said, Pitt deserved to be there last year as well. And of course, if people don't like the system, that's perfectly understandable. I don't like it either. But that is what we are stuck with.
Why is it that in NCAA basketball teams with not-so-great records that get into the post-season are a "cinderella story", but in football they are "not deserving." To me, FSU's gutsy performance over a very good VPI team with everything on the line is worthy of some props. VPI imploded, but Florida State came to play.
Of course, it's hypocritical that people whining and crying over Pitt last year are looking the other way with Florida State. But maybe those people whining should have been giving Pitt credit for winning their conference and making the BCS with a team that wasn't the greatest.
But no. In football it's attack first, denegrate whenever possible, and there are no feel-good stories.

But at least the you know for sure the best teams are in the BB tournament. This joke of a system now does not guarantee that. The winner of the USC/Texas game in my mind is still a mythical champion.

I don't there would be any shame in any bowl team losing to another. This includes WV to Georgia or Louisville to Miami. They will be tough game but I think one difference is that fans of BE teams think they can win. The general feeling out of the conference seems to be that they will get hammered. Nothing that you can do about but play the game. I think we know we had good years.
BE fans in general aren't mocking FSU and the ACC. They are saying look what can happen to a conference other then the BE. Not every team that gets in is a powerhouse.
