And no, this is not what it is really about, you just make it too easy by repeating the same mistakes, thread after thread.

Cheers!

Well I must admit that this forum is very different than many others that I am used to.

yeah the pac 12 forum probably doesn't care about dante culpepper or multree, just like we don't give a crap about who plays in the 12 pack

That is strange because even our local talk radio has a weekly segment dedicated to which PAC 12 team is going to play in the Sun Bowl.

So you may not care but apparently, many El Pasoans do.

That argument is superfluous. The Sun Bowl is the attraction, and while being contractually obligated to take a Pac12 and ACC team, those are the teams that local sports talk radio will do a segment on. If the Sun Bowl was obligated to the Big12 and the SEC, then the segment would be about those conferences. Too big of a leap in correlation.

The Sun Bowl IS the attraction but what makes the Sun Bowl attractive is the quality of teams that they bring to the game and the conference with which they are affiliated.

I assure you that the Sun Bowl would not be as popular if it was bringing the 4th place teams from the Sun Belt and MEAC.

The point here is that the PAC 12 is a very popular conference and for this reason, the Sun Bowl is happy to have them in their bowl selection.

I only wish we could move up to 3rd pick in the PAC12.

MEAC doesn't play fbs football, I would much rather have the big 12 and SEC playing in the sun bowl

I agree.

It's unfortunate that bowls that have been around less time than the Sun Bowl get better teams.

For example, the Alamo Bowl gets the 2nd pick from the PAC 12.
