Its no longer fair to AB to have him out there. Experience or not. It could have long term effects on the kids health. McGee does not have my support on this particular issue.
While I am not that sure the team does respect JP the way they do AB, I agree with Blazerman, I think he needs to play the last game. JMO.

I agree with both of you, at the moment Perry gives the team a better chance to win. You learn the most about someone's character when they're down and out. ABs a winner even when he loses, Perrys not IMHO.

I agree. Play JP. AB is tough as nails, but he is limited. Put JP in and see what he can do. Hellput Bento in late in the Memphis game. JP must be DEEP in the doghouse or Coach is being stuborn.

Ok, it's official, JP will start against UCF! Now, who is going to the press conference today and telling Coach?

We can talk about it all day, but ultimately it is his paycheck & his decision.

Agreed! But he's setting AB up for (possibly) another injury because he clearly can't avoid the rush right now.

I am not a doctor and I am sure UAB athletics have some of the best, but c'mon on man. We all saw how AB looked the past couple games. Anyone think that'll look different next week after some of those hits he took against Memphis?

I say that if the bag comes out in Orlando you let Bento finish out his career as the QB.

Apparently a man on the finebaum show heard the whole Coach McGee discussion on how bad our players suck and losing badly too Memphis. They dont think McGee should be that descriptive in his observation of the team. If you think about it, in my opinion, USM sucks because of coaching and we suck because for 1. we are very young, and have had no glimpse of success in our programs entirety and 2. we lack talent and as coach McGee said "We Suck". His opinion on how bad we suck becomes more obvious when you look at the amount of freshmen he is playing. Coach Mcgee has done more with less than ELLLLLLLLLLLoss has done with a conference champion coming off of arguably the best season in school history. Also, has basically out performed the second best school in the state 100 miles southeast of us 2 years removed from a national championship. Thats how ive determined we have a decent(hope eventually good) coach. Coach Mcgee isnt taking over a program that he could just pick up where we they off, because there was nothing here to begin with. He is building a program from the ground up. Why cant anybody take into consideration that our program is only 20 years old, as well, we cant make our own decisions on our program without the approval of BoT's. So how do they come to conclusion that he's a horrible coach, when he's in a horrible situation?
Is he a horrible coach?
Not in my eyes.
Give him time, let him get his recruits in here and then draw your first conclusion of whether he is a good coach or a bad coach.

I like McGee. I think he's just the breath of fresh air our program has sorely needed. I'm still scratching my head about Saturday, though, and feel a little better about McGee saying he'd learned something from it.

That said, he's a well-paid professional, drawing a salary that I contributed to, and he can expect some scrutiny.

Basically finebaum said ''Boy, has Mcgee and that team been a wreck''. "I mean they did beat USM but they are winless so that win doesnt count. But losing to memphis, really? I know he has takin full responsibility for the poor perfomances. But telling others that your players suck. Is that how you want your coach

I have a problem with the poor performances, but i have no problem with him telling us the truth and owning up to poor coaching and mistakes.

Our program would be miles less schizophrenic if we let coaches we hire do their thing and then axe them cleanly when they don't get the job done after 3-4...

Nations get exactly the government they deserve, and programs get exactly what their fanbase deserves.

If you want him to do what you say from the stands every tom-dick-and-minute then put that in his contract up front and center so he'll know to take that pass at the outset.
