WKU?

This conference is starting to look familiar.

If this happened, then I would feel pretty good about the basketball side of things. Memphis is the only consistent quality team that we lost. I will take UNCC, WKU, and OD over SMU, Houston, and UCF.

Please tell me what you get for joining the Big East or the ACC when its members are trying to escape.

The name is about it.

The ACC is still way better than the Big East though & is what most of us would strive for.

Die? Really? Dude, you are one scary little man. You and some of your UAB buddies butthurt is really showing thru with all ya'll's predictions about the Big East demise. Really makes ya'll look stupid and a little childish. Guess 46-9 will do that to you.

How many times can you post that word in one thread? You sound like a 12 year old girl who just learned the new in phrase.

Why the hell does he continue to bring up 46-9? How about 10-5? Yea, we got our ass kicked Saturday, but you have been our b^%$& in football for 9 out of the past 12 years, including 7 straight '00-'06. Do you really want to keep bringing up the score. Because I am more than happy to bring up the series score every fn time! Go back CKs on Highland and have a waffle or something!

RE: NBR: More Conference Re-Alignment?
The ACC may decide to take 3 teams after discussions.

Cincy, Louisville, & UCONN would be my guess.

Just speculating.

Expansion fallout: Houston can get out of deal with Big East without penalty
http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball...ut-penalty

New Big East members each negotiated their own deal according to a source. For example,
...There is a provision in the Houston contract with the Big East that allows it to leave the league without penalty if certain TV revenue numbers aren't achieved, two sources have told CBSSports.com.

...Boise State can reduce its buyout to leave the Big East if there is a drop of 25 percent in current aggregate total revenue. Also Boise can have that fee reduced if less than 70 percent of the new TV contract goes to football.

So if Louisville, Cincinnati, USF, and UConn leave the Big East, does anyone think the BE can realistically survive? Throw in the fact that Houston is considering NOT leaving. The Big East basketball only schools will almost certainly vote to reconsider their relationship with the Big East and might just focus on basketball only additions from the A-10/CAA.

I think the ACC will take UConn, and that is it.

Could a mix of old C-USA teams be re-forming?

What's interesting here is the Big XII situation. If the ACC beat them to the punch and added UConn, Louisville and Cincinnati to go to 16 teams, the Big XII would effectively have no expansion candidates that weren't multiple states away (but that didn't stop them from getting WV).

After those teams, are there any teams left?

Not unless FSU and Clemson are still flirting with the Big 12. I suppose Air Force, UNLV if they wanted teams just for the sake of expansion.
