Whatever. Have fun with the old dominions and the USTA's of the world. Like I said, good luck in the new CUSA and Brittney, ya'll are gonna need it.

UTSA has had a better year than both UAB and Memphis... They are 7-4 and may actually get to a bowl game if there are not enough 6-6 teams...

You are talking to a Memphis fan about football. For Memphis fans, the move to the Big East is all about basketball and I am sure that is what he was referencing in his post.

Actually MB, I'm more of a football fan than basketball. Love me some Tiger basketball, but football is the #1 sport for me.

That all may be true, but UTSA? Really? But hey, whatever floats your boat.

A number of folks think Georgetown and/or St. Johns for example may leave the BE to go to the ACC. UConn could also be in the same boat headed to the ACC. Where then does that leave BE in terms of a TV deal? Boise and SDSU might just reconsider the BE move.

RE: NBR: More Conference Re-Alignment?
I believe those schools that play football would be more likely to go to another conference.

Those that are basketball schools would be more likely to split from the football playing schools.

I have no clue what the next move will be, however I suspect that UCONN, Louisville, & or Cincy would be the likely teams to be involved in the move.

Also going on at the time, the contract renewals and the de-emphasis by the Big 5 conferences on the Big East may have a bigger impact overall than just future teams leaving and/or joining.

You are quickly wearing out your welcome. Of course we want the Big East to die. They have been slowly killing our conference for a decade now.

Well wyli, there's no need for you to stick around here in the minor leagues anymore to defend your new conference. So, why don't you just save yourself some angst, GTFO Blazertalk and go play in your new sandbox.

RE: NBR: More Conference Re-Alignment?
I think there will end up being some sort of arrangement between CUSA and MWC to try to deal a final death blow to the BE, particularly if the MWC can convince Boise to return. BE in terms of TV appeal is going to take a huge hit. A CUSA/MWC alignment has more TV appeal than what will be left in the BE.

How many times can you post that word in one thread? You sound like a 12 year old girl who just learned the new in phrase.

Don't worry. I have a feeling, we'll be "getting the band back together" in a few years. I can see the Big East looking like this in Football:

UL (Maybe)
Cincy
Memphis
Houston
SMU
UCF
ECU
UAB
USM
USF
Marshall
Tulane

It would be sort of like old times!
