3 teams ahead of us lost, we need Arizona to lose also. That only moves us up to #26, assuming we dont get jumped by another team behind us. Miss State?
Did we have a strong enough win to jump Boise, after they beat a bad Colorado state team? Strong enough to jump a Washington team with a win over a horrible Colorado team? Strong enough to jump Kent State?
Will be a close week, we shall see.
3 teams ahead of us lost, we need to jump Washington/Kent State to make it to 25/24.
If we dont jump anyone, we will be stuck at 26 in the BCS polls but maybe crack the AP top 25.
Well, exactly what we thought would happen, happened.
Only 3 teams ahead of us lost when we were #29, and Miss State jumped us due to their bigger win. So we end up as #27.
#20 Oklahoma State
#21 Rutgers
#22 Boise State
#23 Washington
#24 Kent State
#25 Arizona
#26 Miss State
#27 NIU
OsU through Arizona won, and they were already ahead of us... so they moved up.
Miss State had a better win than us, so they jump us.
We move up 2 spots net.
Summary: Tuff luck and nothing we could do. Not enough teams ahead of us lost, and our win wasnt strong enough to jump any of them in the rankings.
The main question that should be asked, why were some of those teams ahead of us to begin with Rutgers, Boise, Washington have no business being there.

RE: 11/17 Top 25 watch...
We were oh so close to cracking the BCS top 25:
.0643 to .0633
I think by next week we jump Washington and possibly Arizona. We made up a lot of points on both of them in the standings this week. As long as we keep picking up more and more voter points, we'll continue to climb. Oh by the way, we are also now in the top 25 in two of the computers which is helpful.

Gulp, alot of NRs. How in God's Green Earth can you ignore a 10-1 team and a 19-1 team in the last 20
Because they want to sell newspapers that promote their regional teams. These are writers and their interest is to cover teams that sell their product. Their readers don't care how fair they are or knowledgeable they are about the Huskies.

Computers used today will never ever allow a MAC team to jump significantly. BCS standings are meaningless since a MAC team cant make it into the top 16, lets just see how far we can climb in the polls even though about half the media and half coaches wont vote for a MAC team. Like I was telling someone else, its better than the BCS because its only one bias, not a bias + bias like the BCS is.
Check out this great article written at redandblackattack how the powers at be will never let a MAC team climbing happen.

Follow the link I posted and look at last week's points for washington vs NIU. We mad up a significant amount of room. The whole world is not out to get you MD. By the way if I'm not mistaken, ESPN now uses BCS standings on their broadcasts. So I'd kind of like to be ranked there rather than the meaningless AP poll.

By the way I like how you try to prove your point by posting someone's opinion rather than a fact.
