Great job Troy and USA!
The Trojans led most of the way, holding off the Bulldogs 56-53 late, in their first game in the new area, before 5,200 fans, beating an SEC team for the first time in Troy in the first game ever played by an SEC team in Troy.

What happened to NT tonight is about what I expected.......I think this whole Tony M. Crap has poisioned the minds of the NT fans and made you guys think you are better than you are. You will win your share but NT is not a top 25 team
That crap didn't come from my mouth, not many of us think we're a top 25 team. It's one freakin game that we shot 29% in, nothing would drop all night. We had plenty of oppurtunities, we were just off. I'm not taking much from that game except that we got beat soundly by a top 25 team. South Alabama beat a top 25 team tonight, trust me we're well aware of the fact that most conference games will go down to the wire and one player isn't going to make us go undefeated.
I do expect NT to improve ....coach changes rarely result in early season wins as it will take time to adjust. I just think many on this board got a little tired of all the NT hype when most of us knew the ods of a good start for you guys was slim. But I think everybody expected better tonight including NT fans
Just wait till next Friday after beating up two D2 teams...they will be back, telling everyone just how great UNT really is. What I don't understand is why a team with as much talent coming back would play two D2 games to begin with.
With "all world" talent UNT should have schedule 2 halfway decent D1 team to position them for that at large bid they will need by the end of the SBC tourney....
Most likely NIT for UNT because a 20 point loss looks bad and nothing really stands out about their OOC schedule...other than playing two D2 schools. NCAA committee will notice that.
You are wrong on that point. Look at the OOC schedule again. All of it. It's probably a tougher OOC schedule than anyone else in the conference. But, don't let that stop the hate you have for the troll douche you reply to.

I'm looking at your OOC schedule and I can tell you that you have a few tough games (Creighton, St. Louis, and Lehigh) while the rest are so-so at best. 2 Division II opponents HURTS - it doesn't matter who the heck you are. Your OOC is not the best in the conference, though you might have good matchups.
It's definitely not as good as MT's. We've got games at Savannah State (tops in the MEAC), #10 Florida, and Belmont and games at home against Mississippi, UAB, and Vanderbilt - that's not even to mention matchups UCF, Akron, and Tennessee State. THAT would be the hardest non-conference slate in the conference that I've seen.

Preseason NIT doesn't count? Lamar, K state. If we make it past that... who knows.
Regardless of who we play, tonight proved we have some **** to work on.

You know everything in Texas is bigger, including the delusions.
I can think of several big men who were in the Sun Belt that had better college days, and pro days than the Texas boy has and will. You would swear this is the first big man to ever do OK in the conference.

LOL, clearly this has nothing to do with your feelings toward UNT. You're right, he won't do a damn thing ever even though he's considered a lottery pick by most. Those pundits don't know anything.
Also, 30-23.

This is an awesome way to start the year. We dont know how good Florida State is or will be, but if they're not good at least we knocked them out of the top 25.
This could be a very nice RPI boost for the league.

Hopefully we can keep it up and put together a streak and pick up some votes in the polls to help league credibility. We do have New Mexico State at home and they are usually pretty good at basketball. That could be a another RPI boosting game.

NT plays a pretty tough non conference schedule. The D2 games are simply the same as scheduling two less non conference games.
