Isn't all voting done electronically? How are the results not sent in real-time? Why does it take so long? In this day and age you would think electronic voting would make there be no wait time in finding out the results.

Ohio has many votes that have yet to be counted. Maybe the end of next week.

About half of the Arizona ballots to be counted are mail-in ballots, that either arrived on Monday, or were dropped off at the polling place.

Other half are Provisional ballots. Many, many first time voters had to cast Provisional ballots, which are paper.

Arizona also had a very, very long ballot - many county, school, judicial and 15 or so propositions. They are not just counting who voted for President or Senator, there are about 75 counts per ballot.
